Gladiator For a Day! Make your kids’ dream come true.

On this special family experience you’ll visit not only the Colosseum with a kid-friendly expert guide, but also the official Gladiator School of Rome on the ancient Appian Way.

We designed this half-day tour with the aim of giving you and your kids a different perspective on Ancient Rome history, combining an informative tour of the Colosseum with an engaging workout. The best way for the whole family to put things in contest…while having great fun!

Infact, before teaching you how to fight like a real Gladiator, your local instructor will guide you through the Gladiator Museum, where you’ll learn everything there is to know about private and public life of the best Roman fighters. You'll also get an opportunity to wear Gladiator's helmets and uniforms.

The training camp will then open its doors for you to have a real Gladiator workout session and try the best fighting techniques of the Roman warriors.

Toy swords and shields will be at your disposal to get properly trained for the final combat!

Important information​
  • Only kids 7+ years old can participate in the combat part of the Gladiator School, unless defferently agreed by the parents and the local staff;

 

  • Travelers should have a good physical fitness level to join this experience;

 

  • Special access to the Colosseum arena can be provided with an additional fee of 10 Euros per participant (free for kids under 18). Booking at least 40 days in advance is recommended due to the limited availability of the entry tickets;

 

  • The entry tickets to the Colosseum are named. Full names and birth dates of all participants must be provided at the time of booking. Once purchased the entry tickets can not be modified nor refunded;

 

  • The entry tickets to the Colosseum are timed. The local personnel are strict with the entry slots and they do not let in latecomers. In case of delays no refund is due;

 

  • Our pre-booked tickets let you skip the entry line. Security checks cannot be avoided though, and they can lead to some queues in busy dates;

 

  • Our tours run rain or shine. In case of bad weather the workout session and the final combat takes place in a inner hall at the Gladiator School;
