The sacred and profane sides of the Eternal City on a unique day tour with a true local!

Your journey starts from the precious Vatican Museums where you’ll be introduced to new insights and fun anecdotes about the greatest Renaissance and Baroque Italian artists.

You’ll admire masterpieces by Raphael, Botticelli, Pinturicchio and many other masters in a relaxed way and at your own pace.

Next stop will be the breathtaking Sistine Chapel, where you’ll discover the secret of Michelangelo’s Giudizio Universale.

You’ll then follow your guide through a narrow passageway to the magnificent Basilica of Saint Peter. The stunning Dome of the Church, Bernini’s Baldachin and the Pietà by Michelangelo are just some of  the highlights waiting for you behind the entrance door!

Leaving the Church, gripped by all this beauty, you’ll be welcomed in Saint Peter’s Square by precious sculptures of Apostles, Saints and Martyrs dominating the façade of the Basilica and Bernini’s Colonnato.

After enjoying a delicious meal at a local restaurant, you’ll embark on a discovery of the Eternal City with a fascinating stroll starting from Castel Sant’Angelo to the Pincio Terrace, where you’ll enjoy some of the best panoramic views of Rome.

Hadrian’s Temple and the enchanting Trevi Fountain will be just some of the great highlights you’ll visit following your guide on a pleasant walk through cozy alleys and hidden spots of Rome only locals know about!

Additional Information
  • Vatican Museums 2019 closing days: Every Sunday, January 6, February 11, April 17, May 1, June 29, August 15 and 16, November 1, December 8, 25, 26;

  • Reduced entrance tickets for children aged between 6 and 18 and students up to 25 years old on presentation of a student identity card (International Student Card) on the day of the visit;

  • Mandatory headsets rental over 5 people, 3€ per person;

  • St. Peter’s Basilica is an active church and can be closed unexpectedly for liturgical ceremonies or unforeseen circumstances. If closed, the time inside the Vatican Museums will be extended;

  • Spring and Summer Papal Audiences normally take place in the Square of Saint Peter on Wednesdays from 11:00 to 13:00. This may lead to problems and delays in visiting both the Square and the Basilica on those dates;

  • Entry to the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica is permitted only to appropriately dressed visitors (low cut or sleeveless clothing, shorts, miniskirts and hats are not allowed).   • Our pre-booked tickets will let you skip entrance line. Security checks cannot be avoided.
